Independent Operations & Finance Advisory

I find what the books are not telling you.

Twenty-five years inside warehouses, borough offices, and back offices. I uncover the operational problem behind the financial symptom, fix it with your team, and build the process that keeps it fixed.

How I work

Find it. Fix it. Hand it off.

Three steps, in that order, every time. The third one is the part most consultants skip.

01 / FIND

I go look at the actual operation.

Not the summary. The general ledger, the shelf, the workflow, the person who has been quietly working around the system for two years. The problem you called me about is usually not the one doing the damage.

02 / FIX

I build the solution with your team, not at them.

Practical changes your people can run on Monday. I have rebuilt three years of books, moved a warehouse off paper, and taken twenty-three companies onto one platform. All of it hands on.

03 / HAND OFF

I make sure it survives after I leave.

SOPs, training videos, and direct training with the people who have to live with it. A fix nobody was taught to maintain is not a fix. It is a delay.

Services

Where operational clarity becomes measurable progress.

Focused interventions and longer-term advisory support, built around the problem in front of you.

Process Improvement

I identify the inefficiencies and put actionable solutions in place to optimize performance across departments. Not a report you file away. Changes your team can run on Monday.

  • Workflow analysis and redesign
  • Business process improvement
  • Change management
  • SOP and training documentation

Operational Auditing

In-depth assessments that uncover compliance gaps, risk exposures, and opportunities for cost savings. This is the work where money that was never really there gets found.

  • Operational efficiency assessments
  • Audit preparation and support
  • Financial recovery and reconciliation
  • Financial reporting improvement

Warehouse Management

Inventory control, layout optimization, and logistics workflows that improve throughput and reduce waste. I have moved legacy warehouses off paper and onto systems people will actually use.

  • Inventory control and valuation
  • Layout and logistics optimization
  • Manual to digital tracking transitions
  • Floor staff training

Software Implementation

Leading or supporting software rollouts that align with the business and, more importantly, get adopted. A system nobody uses is not an implementation. It is an expense.

  • ERP implementation support
  • Accounting and WMS integration
  • User adoption and training
  • Cross-functional project management
Recent projects

Selected outcomes, not abstract recommendations.

A sample of the work: the original mandate, the underlying issue, and the operational result.

23
Companies brought
onto one platform

A single rollout across an entire corporate umbrella.

  • Led an FDM4 rollout across 23 companies, including accounting and WMS integration for the primary division.
  • Documented critical processes through SOPs and training videos so the knowledge remained with the organization.
  • Coordinated cross-department implementation, reporting, training, and adoption through every phase.
3 yrs
Of accounting
discrepancies corrected

Three years of books nobody had reconciled.

  • Corrected three years of accounting discrepancies and reconciled six bank accounts.
  • Remediated unpaid payroll taxes, rebuilt historical QuickBooks records, and restored audit readiness.
  • Supported the state audit and trained the incoming bookkeeper on procedure, compliance, and software.
$40,000
Inventory overstatement
identified

The inventory on the books did not exist on the shelf.

  • Moved a legacy warehouse from manual inventory records to a digital tracking system.
  • Cataloged the inventory, identified a $40,000 valuation overstatement, and established stronger controls.
  • Built practical warehouse workflows and trained the staff responsible for maintaining them.
In their words

What changes when the system finally works.

“From the moment Georgia joined the project, she approached each challenge with precision, patience, and a problem-solver’s mindset. Her ability to bridge the gap between old technology and current operational needs was nothing short of remarkable.”

“She led a comprehensive rollout and personally trained a team of more than 30 employees, ensuring everyone felt confident and capable using the system. A once-obsolete system has become a fully functioning tool that now enhances productivity across the organization.”

About

Georgia L. Perry

I work with organizations that are ready to improve, adapt, and grow—whether the need is one defined project or ongoing operational support.

My background spans multiple industries, and that is the point. Food production, warehousing, apparel, and municipal government all break in different ways, and seeing all of them means I recognize a pattern long before it shows up on a report. I have the financial side, so I can read a general ledger and tell you where it stops matching reality. I also have the operational side, so I can walk your floor and see the workflow that is quietly causing it. Those two things rarely live in the same person, which is exactly why the problems in the middle go unsolved for years.

If you are tackling one specific challenge, I can take that on. If you need a longer-term partner for operational support, I do that too. Either way, you get strategic thinking and someone who will actually do the work.

FAQ

A clear engagement starts with clear expectations.

If yours is not here, ask me directly. I will give you a straight answer.

Ask me something
What size company do you usually work with?
Everything from small businesses to corporate groups with more than twenty companies under one umbrella. The size changes the scope, not the method.
How does an engagement usually start?
With a conversation, and then a look at the actual operation. I do not quote a plan before I understand the problem, because the problem you called about is often not the one causing the damage.
Do you only work on financial problems?
No. The finance side is where problems become visible, but the cause is usually operational. I work on both, and that is the reason I get called.
Do you work with boroughs and municipal governments?
Yes. I have rebuilt three years of borough accounting records, remediated unpaid payroll taxes, reconciled six accounts, trained the incoming bookkeeper, and supported a state audit from start to finish.
Will my team actually use the new system after you leave?
That is the whole point. I document processes in SOPs and training videos, and I train your people directly. On one rollout that meant personally training more than thirty employees.
What areas do you serve?
Washington County, the Pittsburgh metro area, and Western Pennsylvania generally. I am based in Fallowfield.
Ready when you are

Bring me the problem everyone has learned to work around.

A short conversation is usually enough for me to tell you if I am the right person for it. If I am not, I will say so.
